o and by the way you DO NOT NEED a laptop to do the wifi thing. i have a wireless adapter hooked up to my (USB adapter) and then you have to mess with the network settings and voila it works the same as the laptop wifi

great articale and as for number 6 you dont have to redo the bridge everytime u surf the net on ur laptop i have us that method for other a year now and have had no problems but i can become unstable time to time…

Thanks for number 4, however if for what ever reason someone did not like XlinkKai, then they could try XBconnect which is similar, I will never pay for live until it get cheaper than £15 per year

One thing I would change … on number 6, connecting to the laptop. If you set up internet connection sharing on your wi-fi, then it should set your wired port to ip address 192.168.0.1. Set your xbox to get it’s IP via DHCP (I believe that is the default setting). Now connect your xbox and lap top using a standard ethernet cable and you should be good to go. wrt no. 6 and above quote I was able to succesfully get internet on both laptop and xbox without tweaking any settings or “unbridging” whatsoever! Just posting in an attempt to avoid confusion for those who have a similar experience.
